Bible has greatly mentioned about the role of a father in a child's life. Read them and understand the complex role of a father in the life of his child.
PROVERBS 10:1
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
PROVERBS 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
EPHESIANS 6:4
Fathers do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
MATTHEW 7:11
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in Heaven give good things to them that ask him?
